Tinners
Tinners is a challenge where other members make blocks for you and every month you make a block for someone else. You should not know for sure who owns each tin. You chose a theme for your tin. You can ask for whatever you like and it is up to participants to comply. As an example you could ask for black and white blocks. You can be as specific as you like. You could ask for specific sizes. You get yourself some kind of tin and put fabric and your instructions inside. And do put a label in your tin so you will know who made your blocks.
Tins will be numbered. If you were asking for black and white you could include several fat quarters or pieces of fabric in black and/or white. The others could use your fabric or they can add some of their own. Every month you return your tin to the guild and the tins are again distributed. You should not see your tin until all blocks are completed. Themes for the tins are unlimited. You can go with seasons, holidays, stars. colours, etc. You can add as much of your fabric as you wish. Because we do not meet every month in person we are hoping you can exchange with a friend in these months In the end you get your tin back and you can put the blocks together however you like. Again you can add whatever you like. Remember no cheating. The best fun is seeing what you get. For more information contact Programs -- Brenda Kellar |
